Instructions:
Add full packet of crystals to just under 4 litres of water, in a larger container. Leave for four hours. Drain off any excess water.

Notes:
For FRESH flowers add flower food to the water BEFORE making up the crystals.
Used distilled/deionised water for larger & longer lasting crystals.
For most fresh flowers the crystals release enough moisture to supply them; made up as per instructions the crystals have a definite shape and no water should be visible. In the case of cut roses & orchids, there should be MORE water in the vase (see below); but if the water is level with or above the crystals they will appear to loose their shape.
Protect artificial flower stems with wax or plastic wrap to prevent rusting.
Refresh dried crystals by adding water; clean crystals by rinsing in a sieve or colander.
Dispose of unwanted crystals in the refuse, or bury in the garden. DO NOT flush down drains!

Non-toxic & otherwise environmentally safe; do not take internally; keep out of reach of children.

OASIS® Crystal Accents - extract from Smithers-Oasis website: How To Use Crystal Accents With Roses

There is a warning on the back of the bags of Crystal Accents stating that they are not recommended for roses. 95% of the time roses do well in Crystal Accents but this warning was put on the back to cover the 5% where there have been problems. In order that roses thrive in the gel, the following method is recommended by a major US rose grower and works every time without a problem:

Add one full packet of Crystal Accents to 3.785 litres of water, allow four hours for Crystals to expand.
Drain off any excess water using a strainer or colander.

Pour 3-4cm of expanded crystals in to the vase or bowl the roses will be going in.
Add 1cm of fresh water to the crystals (Note: the water will percolate down to the bottom of the vase or bowl).
Finish filling up the vase or bowl with expanded crystals.
Cut ½cm off the rose stems and place stems all the way down to the bottom of the vase.
