|Making A Purchase|
Browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into your cart - the contents will be shown in the right-hand panel so that you know where you are. When you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for the final details that we need to be able to complete submission of your order. Please note that as a trade supplier, our prices exclude VAT.
Orders being sent to Mainland Great Britain addresses and having a value in excess of £100.00 excluding VAT will be delivered free of charge.
Orders having a value between £50.00 & £99.99 excluding VAT will incur a fixed £6.50 carriage charge.
For orders having a value below £50.00 excluding VAT, the cost of shipping will be calculated in accordance with a scale - for full details see DELIVERY CHARGES.
Small, lightweight orders will be sent by Royal Mail First Class Post, charged according to the weight of the packet. Courier deliveries will require a signature - please ensure that someone is available. Re-deliveries and change of address after despatch are chargeable.
UK Offshore Destinations will incur additional charges - these are explained in DELIVERY CHARGES
ORDER VALUES IN EXCESS OF £100.00 ARE CARRIAGE-FREE
(Mainland and Isle of Wight only - surcharges apply for Northern Ireland & other Off-Shore Islands)
We accept on-line payment via Creditcall Sellerdeck Payments, no card data is visible to or retained by ourselves. Payment is not taken from your card until the order is ready to ship - therefore unauthorised transactions or faulty details cannot ship. We may endeavour to contact you by telephone or email, however, we may not pursue the order in depth.
Alternatively you may select the option for 'Offline Payment' and wait for us to contact you by telephone or email with the total cost of your order including any shipping charges & VAT and you may then give us your card details verbally, send payment by cheque (please allow extra time for your cheque to be cleared) or Postal Order (both by post to us) or if you wish to use PayPal please advise us & we will give you the payment address along with the total to be paid.
Local Authorities, major public companies (plc) and recognised charities may apply for deferred payment within 30 days on submission of an Official Purchase Order. No other credit is granted.
We do not take payment from your card for your order until the date of dispatch. Out of stock items will be cancelled from the order - in a small number of cases where we know we will have stock of an out of stock item very shortly we may elect to send the main order promptly, having taken payment for the complete order, and send on the remaining item separately. If the imminent stock is known to be due and is of sufficient reasonable value, we may back-order the item against your account (without initial charge, and detailing this on your initial invoice) so that the item(s) are subsequently charged to your payment method and sent to follow (at our expense).
When an email confirmation of your order is sent to you, this is an automated response from the server to indicate that your order has been received at our website. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us, or that we have physically been informed of your order at that precise moment in time. If you do not receive this automated response, it is likely that you have mis-typed your email address on your order, or failed to complete the checkout process correctly for some reason - please contact us accordingly.
We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Whilst you are protected by The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, please be aware that full & complete cancellation without charge can only be accepted if your goods have NOT been dispatched.
Once your order has been dispatched, cancellation may be made within seven days (as specified in the aforementioned Regulations) but (a) the cost of shipping the order to you is NOT refundable (and, if by virtue of the order value, you were not charged for delivery, the cost of this may be charged additionally).(b) we do not refund the cost of your returning the goods to us.
Under the Regulations you have a duty to protect our goods whilst in your possession and to ensure adequate packing & protection in sending them back to us. (See Returns Policy, below).

Any single order having a value in excess of GBP 100.00 net of tax is carriage-free, you pay only the value of the items plus VAT.
Order Value up to GBP 99.99 excluding VAT:
Small orders will be sent by Royal Mail using the most cost-effective method dependent on the nature, weight, volume and destination of the goods. Larger and/or multiple parcels are dispatched by tracked parcel services to addresses in Mainland England, Wales, & Scotland. The majority of parcels are delivered the day following the day of dispatch - note, Scottish Highlands & Islands may take one or two days longer. In some cases you can choose to have your order sent by Royal Mail or via Next Day Courier for an extra charge. We will process your order according to the shipping option that you select.
The Isle of Wight, being relatively local to us, so we are able to offer the same terms. Northern Ireland, United Kingdom Offshore Islands (excluding Isle of Wight) will incur additional charges.
GLASSWARE may incur a small additional charge for packaging & insurance.
We will consider shipping to Europe, USA, Canada, South Africa, Australia & New Zealand (at our discretion, dependent on the nature & value of the goods) but please enquire for a freight/carriage quote before finally placing your order and be aware that local Import Duty & Taxes may apply.
We will NOT ship to any destination not listed and reserve the right to refuse to supply any destination.
1. Once processed, most orders are dispatched by overnight parcel carrier, Monday to Friday, for delivery the next working day. This is subject to the carriers' service once we have entrusted your parcel to them.
Please note the following:
1.1 TRADE orders placed by TELEPHONE* or FAX*, before 2pm weekdays, goods in stock, can be dispatched the SAME day. Any urgency must be indicated at the point of order.
1.2 ON-LINE* orders are dealt with as received and this may not be the same day as placed - if urgent, please enter this in the 'Delivery Instructions' field during checkout.
1.3 Orders having a value below GBP100 incur a delivery charge - see 2) below.
Next-day AM** & Saturday** deliveries can be arranged at extra charge - please enquire by telephone/fax/email BEFORE placing your order to assess exact charges levied by the parcel carrier.
* Method of placement of order can affect date of dispatch. ** Excess charges will apply.
2. Orders having a value below GBP100 WILL incur a postage/delivery charge.
2.1 Up to 1kg in weight (including packaging) will be sent by Royal Mail First Class Post.
2.2 IF too large for UK Postal system (or multiple parcels), so that has to be sent by carrier, then:
(i) Up to an order value of GBP49.99 excluding VAT a charge of GBP7.50 for the first parcel will be charged in order to cover our costs. We do not profit from this charge. (ii) Between values GBP50.00 - GBP99.99 (excluding VAT) a charge of GBP6.50 will be made as a contribution to our costs.
3. International orders/dispatch/delivery - please enquire.
If your single item is not in stock, we will back order for you. (Unless clearance/limited stock/end-of-line/special offer items) and send the item as soon as available. You will be emailed/otherwise contacted with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait. You will be kept fully informed in this regard.
If only one or two small items from a larger order are not available immediately we may cancel them and request that you re-order if still required; the bulk of the order will then be dispatched as normal. In this case we DO NOT back-order & send on the out of stock item(s).

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added. UK VAT will not be charged where you are able to supply us with a VALID EU tax registration number.
Goods supplied to countries outside the EU are UK tax free, but may be subject to your own country's import/customs duty and/or local taxes, for which we are NOT responsible.

When the order is placed at our website, your credit/debit card processing is handled by Creditcall Sellerdeck Payments on our behalf. Your card data is not input into our website in any form and we do not have access to the information.

If you wish to return for refund undamaged/perfect items that were originally ordered by you legitimately & in good faith then you may do so, AT YOUR EXPENSE*, within thirty days. The returned item(s) must be in the same condition as when you received them and suitable for resale. Items which are soiled, damaged, used, removed from their original packaging (where the original packaging was sealed) OR missing their original packaging where that packaging was specific to the item (e.g. bubble packs, printed boxes) cannot be accepted for return. Items which appear to have been USED will not be accepted for return. Please note - we are unable to accept returns of Books, Magazines, or DVDs unless these are deemed to be faulty or have been damaged in transit.
Items that you are returning must be adequately packed and protected having regard to the manner in which you received them and the method by which you are returning them**. Refund will only be given for complete & undamaged returns, this being particularly relevant in the case of breakable items.
Refunds will be made (a) in the amount that you were originally charged for the item(s) EXCLUDING the cost of postage & packing/carriage charges either charged to you or incurred by us for the purpose of sending them to you (b) excluding the cost of your returning them to us (c) in the same manner as you originally made payment to us (d) within thirty days of our receipt of the returned item(s). Please ensure that returned items are clearly labelled with your name, address and original Order Number or Invoice Number.
* above: in the case of items supplied incorrectly, return costs will be refunded, where we require the item(s) to be returned.
** Please contact us for instructions as to the method by which we require the goods to be returned - this will be by the most cost-effective method, for us. Should goods be returned WITHOUT prior consultation, by a non-cost-effective method, e.g. by Royal Mail Special Delivery, Same-Day Courier, etc., the cost over & above that which we would normally incur WILL NOT be refunded.
Evidence/proof of circumstances may be required.
* above: in the case of items damaged in transit, return costs WILL be refunded, where we require the item to be returned.
- Please check your goods immediately on receipt.
- Claims for items damaged in transit MUST be received within three days of your receipt, so that we may claim on the carrier.
- Claims CANNOT be accepted after this time.
Short Delivery & Omissions
In the unlikely event of a picking or packing error on our part, please notify us within seven days.
