How to care for Your Flowers
Cut one inch off the bottom of soft stemmed flowers with a sharp knife, slantwise. Hard and woody stemmed flowers should be sliced slantwise and one to three inches of bark at the end of the stem scraped away with a sharp knife. The flowers should then be placed in deep water for at least an hour before arranging. Always arrange in a clean container with as deep a depth of water as possible, topping up daily. Remove all leaves which, on arranging, will be below water level. As far as possible avoid putting flowers in draughty or hot locations and keep out of direct sunshine. Should any flower flag, again treat as above.
