These aluminium inserts are used to hold flowers near a grave in a churchyard, cemetary or crematorium Garden of Remembrance, where the memorial stonework has a hole to accept the pot.
The important dimension, then, is the diameter of the hole in the memorial compared to the size of the insert just below the domed lid.
Many kerb sets (the rectangular stonework around a grave) have holes in the cornerstones, or as we show here, a place for a posy of flowers at the foot of a head stone. |  |
