How to care for your Flower ArrangementMake sure the container is filled to the brim with water upon receipt and is kept topped up each day thereafter. If, however, the flowers have been arranged in a water retaining material (which has the property of soaking up water like a sponge) make sure that it is kept damp by adding water to the container each day. Keep the Arrangement away from draughts and radiators. The cooler the room, the longer the flowers will last.If in any doubt, consult your florist. He wants your flowersto last well and give you satisfaction.

How to care for Your RosesCut the stems and place immediately in DEEP water up to the neck. Leave in a cool place for a "good drink". Arrange in a DEEP vase or again cut stems to suit the vase, allowing for PLENTY of stem in water. DO NOT leave them in a draught, near heat, or in direct sunshine. If the roses should flop at their heads re-cut and plunge the stems only into boiling water for a short time.
How to care for Your FlowersCut one inch off the bottom of soft stemmed flowers with a sharp knife, slantwise. Hard and woody stemmed flowers should be sliced slantwise and one to three inches of bark at the end of the stem scraped away with a sharp knife. The flowers should then be placed in deep water for at least an hour before arranging. Always arrange in a clean container with as deep a depth of water as possible, topping up daily. Remove all leaves which, on arranging, will be below water level. As far as possible avoid putting flowers in draughty or hot locations and keep out of direct sunshine. Should any flower flag, again treat as above.
How to care for Your Tied ArrangementIMPORTANT! Do not untie your flowers. After removing wrapping, trim ends of stems. Place arrangement in a suitable container and fill with water. As far as possible avoid putting flowers in a draughty or hot location and keep out of direct sunshine.

GC60: [Pink] How to care for your Pot Chrysanthemum This pot chrysanthemum was grown in a cool, airy greenhouse, but free from draughts Keep in an even temperature away from radiators, etc., avoiding extremes. Give ample daylight particularly to plants with buds. Never let the soil become bone dry, although too much water can be as harmful as too little. Regular watering in moderation is the best practice. Surplus water should be well drained before replacing the pot in any container. Remove faded blooms to allow buds to develop. After flowering, this plant can be cut back to within two or three inches of the pot and planted in your garden.
GC201: [Pink] How to care for Your Poinsettia Your plant was grown in a temperature of between 65-70 degrees F. Free from draughts of any kind, and will last longest in similar conditions. Keep away from draughts and radiators, remember window sills can be cold and frost will kill. Use tepid water when the soil begins to feel dry, water thoroughly and allow to drain, after which never let the pot stand in water.
GC80: (Cream) How to care for your BegoniaKeep in a good light but out of sun.Keep moist but not wet.Do not wet foliage.Only remove florets as they die as new buds form underneath.Feed weekly whilst in flower.Stand on moist pebbles.
GC211:(Yellow) How To Care for Your ChrysanthemumsWith an oblique cut, remove an inch from the stems and split or crush the lower two inches of the remainder. It is an advantage to remove some of the bark from the same area, also any leaves which may be immersed in water. Stand in deep water, in a cool place away from draught. Where possible use deep vases for arrangement and keep topped up with water. If it is necessary to change the water, repeat the above treatment for the stems. If "mop head" types fail to respond, soften the stems by brief immersion in hot water. Handle Chrysanthemums carefully at all times. One knock is sufficient to shatter a bloom.
GC331: [Pink] How to care for Your Carnations These Carnations have been cool grown in a large airy greenhouse. Upon receipt cut a small portion off the end of the stem between leaf joints. Plunge in deep water for an hour. Strip off any leaves which will be under water when arranged. Use a clean container Always ensure that they have plenty of clean cool water and FRESH AIR. Avoid heat, particularly gas fumes.
